The “Managing Regulatory Change in Financial Services – Capacity Building” (MRC) program aims to strengthen the capacity of regulators in the financial services in developing economies in the Asia-Pacific region. The MRC Program meets a specific demand identified by agencies in regional economies for such training. This program builds on the previous Managing Regulatory Change in Life Insurance and Pensions capacity building program, which was repeatedly endorsed by APEC Finance Ministers. The approach, a joint regulatory/industry/multilateral approach to capacity building, has been demonstrated to be in assisting officials from regional economies developing their knowledge and expertise.
