The Australian APEC Study Centre has created an extensive list of resources that brings together academia, the public sector and independent agencies and think-tanks associated with APEC and market liberalisation. This list should not be considered exhaustive.

Official APEC sites

APEC Secretariat
This is the key site for all official APEC bodies and activities. It includes all APEC publications and a calendar of APEC and related events.

APEC Study Centre (ASC) Consortium
Details of the network of Study Centres across the 21 member economies is available here.

ABAC (APEC Business Advisory Council)
The Council, consisting of three representatives from each economy provides advice to APEC Leaders and other fora.

APEC Committee on Trade and Investment
The Committee on Trade and Investment (CTI) is APEC's voice on global trade and investment issues.

APEC Economic Committee
The Economic Committee (EC) has a mandate to promote structural reform within APEC by undertaking policy analysis and action-oriented work.

APEC SOM Steering Committee on Economic and Technical Cooperation
The SOM Steering Committee on Economic and Technical Cooperation (SCE) coordinates and manages APEC's economic and technical cooperation (ECOTECH) agenda to improve econommic and social well being.

APEC Finance Ministers' Process
The APEC Finance Ministers' Process (FMP) provides an annual forum for APEC Member Economies to exchange views and information on regional macroeconomic and financial developments and on national and regional policy priorities.

APEC SME Crisis Management Center
The APEC SME Crisis Management Center assists SMEs in identifying crisis in an earliest manner, overcoming the impacts of global economic challenges, and offering suggestions for response measures.

World Trade Organization (WTO)
Set up at the end of the Uruguay Round, the WTO administers the multilateral trading system. The site contains information and analysis of global trade issues.

ASEAN
The official site of the Association of South East Asian Nations. It contains information about the political and security aspects of ASEAN as well as the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA).

Asian Development Bank
Statistics and information about research relating to development issues in Asia.

Pacific Economic Cooperation Council
PECC is a partnership of business, government and research representatives from 22 member committees that work on policy issues to increase trade, investment and economic development in the region.

World Bank
The Bank's site contains information on and research reports on international development issues.

Trade and International Integration (a World Bank program)
A major function of this research program is to address trade issues that are of global importance such as the WTO and the impact of regional integration agreements. Background, working and completed papers are all available.

International Monetary Fund
The IMF site contains many publications about international economic and financial issues.

Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development
The OECD is an association of developed countries. The site contains information relevant to developed and developing countries.

North South Institute
A Canadian body which researches and analyses international development issues.

Asia Studies
Asia-Studies Full-text Online is a database for the study of modern Asia-Pacific.  Asia Studies brings together thousands of full-text reports covering over 50 countries on a range of business, government, economic, and social issues.

Intitute of Public Affairs
The IPA is an independent, non-profit public policy think tank, dedicated to the free flow of capital, a limited and efficient government, the rule of law, and representative democracy.

The Australia Institute
The Australia Institute is an independent public policy research centre funded by grants from philanthropic trusts, memberships and commissioned research.

Lowy Institute for International Policy
The Lowy Institute is an independent international policy think tank. Its objective is to generate new ideas and dialogue on international developments and Australia’s role in the world.

Centre for Strategic Economic Studies
The Centre was established by the Council of Victoria University, in May 1993 within the Faculty of Business. It mission is to explore economic policy and aid in its implementation.

Strategic and Defence Studies Centre

The mission of the Center includes an aim to increase public understanding of the benefits of free trade and the costs of protectionism. The Development Gateway is an interactive portal for information and knowledge sharing on sustainable development and poverty reduction.
