I am Nicole Verdugo Oviedo, President of Women Economic Forum Chile and a leader in initiatives that promote women’s economic empowerment across Latin America. My work focuses on building bridges between the public and private sectors, international organizations, and business ecosystems to advance inclusive growth, sustainable innovation, and gender-responsive economic development. I have experience in international trade policy, including gender chapters in trade agreements, and in designing platforms that connect leadership, entrepreneurship, and sustainability at both regional and global levels.

Expectations from the Program

By joining the APEC Women’s Business Activator Program, I aim to strengthen the international dimension of our work, particularly in the areas of inclusive trade, business scaling, and cross-border collaboration within the Asia-Pacific region. I am especially interested in gaining practical tools to support women-led businesses in expanding into global markets, building strategic partnerships across APEC economies, and contributing a Latin American perspective on inclusive economic leadership.
