About me:
We are a family business that started with the elaboration of traditional Mexican snacks. However, we are now expanding our frontiers and starting to work with nutraceuticals incorporated into our traditional snacks to continue evolving with the market and its necessities. I want to learn a lot from this program and explore new ideas for expanding our business, as well as create global networking opportunities with other enterprises led by women to support each other.

About me:

My name is Dr. Imelda Escamilla Bouchan. I’m a Telematics Engineer with a Master’s and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico, specializing in Geographic Information Systems. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on disaster prevention, geospatial data analysis, and applying technology to social challenges — efforts that earned me the National Civil Protection Award in 2014. I’ve also conducted international research, collaborating with the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil, resulting in several scientific publications in the field of semantic georeferencing and social media event analysis.
About my business:
I am the CEO and co-founder of VLIM Soluciones Integrales en Tecnología, a Mexican company with over 9 years of experience providing tailored tech solutions to businesses across various industries, including education, hospitality, retail, and e-commerce. We specialize in custom software development, mobile apps, corporate systems, and cross-platform tools. VLIM was founded with a vision to be innovative, inclusive, and socially responsible. Over the years, we've been honored with recognitions from organizations like Facebook, WeConnect International, Victoria 147, and the U.S. Embassy in Mexico. We are currently certified partners with AWS, Shopify, NetPay, and PayPal. One of our core values is supporting the next generation of talent. We maintain partnerships with universities to mentor and train students and recent graduates, providing them with meaningful, real-world experience as they begin their careers in technology.

My expectations of the program:
My goal is to strengthen our internationalization strategy, build partnerships that allow us to scale our solutions to new markets, and gain tools to support sustainable business growth. I’m also looking forward to connecting with other women leaders, exchanging ideas, learning from diverse experiences, and continuing to contribute to a more inclusive and impactful tech ecosystem.
