The Hon. Philip Dalidakis
The Hon. Philip Dalidakis is the Managing Partner of Orizontas.
The Hon. Philip Dalidakis is a well-regarded & accomplished leader
with vast experience working across business, government & the
NFP sector.
Philip is currently the Managing Partner of Orizontas, a Board and
CEO advisory firm focused on reputational, climate and political
risk and its group of companies.
Philip served as a Member of the Victorian Parliament from 2014 to
2019 and as the Victorian Minister for Trade and Investment,
Innovation and the Digital Economy and Small Business; been the
Executive General Manager, Corporate Services at Australia Post
and held the position of Deputy Chief of Staff to the former Senate
Leader and Federal Minister for Broadband, Communications, and
the Digital Economy.
As Trade & Investment Minister, Philip grew the international office
network to 23 offices globally including new offices in the USA,
Chile, Singapore and Israel. Philip successfully rebranded the network, its first since 1993 & was responsible for a number of country & regional trade strategies for China, India, South East Asia & also Latin America. Philip also executed a strategy that attracted APAC/ANZ head offices of global tech companies such as GoPro, Hired, Slack, Square, Stripe & Zendesk into Melbourne and implemented a cybersecurity strategy, created the Oceania Cyber Security Centre & auspiced several critical international MoUs between Victoria, the United Kingdom, United States & Israel with a focus on Ai & the protection of cyber infrastructure.
Philip has extensive experience in executive and non-executive roles (in listed and non-listed entites) across the bio/pharma, technology, digital and property sectors. Philip currently acts as a director on a range of boards including NASDAQ listed Gelteq, a clinical and science based company with operations across Australia, China and the United States, the Washington DC based Center for Asia Pacific Strategy and is the Chairman of VOICsa, a not for profit charity for victims of child sex abuse.
Philip brings an outstanding insight into the government and regulatory environment (locally &
internationally), innovation and the economy. He has navigated outcomes in the most challenging
corporate and political environments through deep knowledge, effective & pragmatic advice, discrete
issues execution and strong relationships on all sides of politics.
He has a Master of Commerce from University of New South Wales, a Bachelor of Arts (Politics & Thai
language) and a Bachelor of Business (Management) from Monash University, is a Fellow of the Institute of
Managers & Leaders and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is conversant in
Greek, Thai and Issan.
