About me:
I’m Dr. Varongsri Poothakool (Dr. Ying), founder and CEO of Math Talent by Dr.Ying. With a Ph.D. in Educational Research Methodology and over 20 years of experience, I specialize in curriculum development, educational research, and franchising. My mission is to empower young learners across Southeast Asia through innovative math and science education.
About my business:
Math Talent started as a small learning center and has grown to over 28 branches in Thailand, Laos, and the Philippines. We use a unique “visual thinking” approach, recognized by Finland’s pedagogical experts, making math and science accessible and enjoyable. Our franchise model promotes both academic success and entrepreneurial opportunities, especially for women and educators.
My expectations of the program:
Through the APEC Women’s Business Activator 2025, I aim to connect with fellow entrepreneurs, explore new APEC markets, and develop innovative strategies for scaling educational businesses. I also hope to strengthen my leadership and advocate for women in STEM and education entrepreneurship.
