The Australian APEC Study Centre (AASC) at RMIT University

The Australian APEC Study Centre at RMIT University’s College of Business, promote Australia’s, Victoria’s and RMIT’s strategic, economic, social and educational objectives throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

APEC Lecture 2012
The Deputy Leader of the Opposition and Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Julie Bishop, has delivered the Annual APEC Lecture at RMIT University on 10 December 2012.

Ms Bishop said Asia's re-emergence as an economic powerhouse presented significant economic opportunities and challenges for Australia, and noted that economic diplomacy would be the central plank of a future Coalition Government's approach to managing those opportunities and challenges.
