APEC Women’s Business Activator Program 2025 Intake
2025 APEC Women's Business Activator Program
In July 2025, RMIT had the pleasure of hosting 26 women entrepreneurs from nine APEC economies for the face-to-face intensive of the APEC women's Business Activator Program — a successful pilot program from 2024 that received renewed support from the Australian Government (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) for a second year. APEC is an economic forum of 21 economies with a primary goal to support sustainable economic growth and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region. This program supports APEC’s priority to enhance women led SMEs’ access to global markets.
Delivered by RMIT Activator and the Australian APEC Study Centre, the program combines online and face-to-face learning, helping founders refine their business strategy, financial planning, and market entry approaches — all tailored to their individual contexts.
After eight weeks of virtual mentoring, the five-day in-person experience offered participants the chance to immerse themselves in practical workshops, expert-led panels, and deep peer discussions focusing on international business capability, deepening understanding of trade regulations and cultural considerations, and strengthening leadership skills.
